Julian Barbour

Julian Barbour is an independent researcher based at College Farm in North Oxfordshire. He has worked for most of his life on the nature of time, both in Newton’s theory of gravity and, more recently, in General Relativity. He is the author of The Discovery of Dynamics (Oxford University Press, 2001) and The End of Time (Weidenfeld and Nicolson, 1999). He is Visiting Professor in Physics at the University of Oxford.
